Biography

Keith was born in 1925. He is the son of Edward Gabbert and Laura Wood. He passed away in 2009.

STANBERRY, Mo. — Keith DeVere Gabbert, 84, Stanberry, died Sunday, December 27, 2009.

Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the home; children, Judy (David) Leighninger, Glenda Taufen, Lyndon Gabbert, and Kevin (Tonya) Gabbert; brothers, Delbert Gabbert and Locein Gabbert; sisters, Joyce Smetzer, Sharon Foster, and Nelda Reynolds; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Iris (Wood) Gabbert; son-in-law, Paul Taufer; brothers, Berniel, Royce, and John Gabbert.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 31, at the Alanthus Church of Christ, Alanthus Grove, Mo. Burial with military rites in Jennings Cemetery of Alanthus Grove, Mo. Family visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry, Mo.
