She married Lieutenant Falkiner Minchin (the son of John Minchin and Caroline Falkiner) on Thursday, 7 September 1786 at Cathedral St Mary, Limerick, Ireland[1]. Notice of their marriage was printed in Saunders's Newsletter dated 13 September 1786, page 2:
ln Limerick, Faulkner Minchin, Efq. Lieutenant in the 27th regiment, to Mifs Gabbett.[2]
They went on to have at least eight children.
Maria Minchin passed away on 24 February 1807. Notice of her passing was printed on page 3 of the Limerick Gazette dated 3 March 1807:
DEATHS.
On Tuesday last in Dublin, where she arrived from Bath on Saturday preceding, Mrs Minchin, lady of Falkiner Esq. and daughter of the late Alderman William Gabbett, of this city.[3]
