By 1834, he was married to a second wife, Anna Barbara. This indicates that his first Maria Barbara Jäger was deceased. Not only was Anna Barbara his second wife, but she was likely a widow. Her identity can be narrowed down to one of these two individuals from Grimm.
Family #64 Anna Barbara Waller Schmidt 1767 Johannes Schmidt
Family #147 Anna Barbara Maier Reizenstein 1768 Johann Michael Reizenstein
Anna Barbara Waller Schmidt, #64 in the 1798 census, was still alive in 1834 and is listed as the head of her household #87. She can be ruled out as his second wife. Anna Barbara Maiser Reizenstein's name does not appear with her husband's family in the 1834 census, and her husband has a different wife. Typically this means that the first wife passed away. It is possible, however, that the couple divorced. All their children were grown. Although divorce was unusual, it can't be ruled out as a possibility. It's also possible Anna Barbara was from another village.
Nephew Johann Adam Happel, age 12 in 1816, to household #297
Note Johann Adam was the son of an unnamed brother
Johannes Happel is not listed in the 1857 Grimm census; he most likely had passed away.

If he were still living that year, he would have been 89 years old.
