He and his wife were most likely the parents of Johann Adam Happel, born in 1804, who is designated as a nephew of his brother Johannes Happel in the 1834 census. The fact that Johann Adam Happel was listed as living in his uncle's family implies that either his parents had moved to another village and he stayed behind, or that his parents were deceased.

Johann Georg Happel and Elisabeth Margaretha Felde are not listed in the 1834 census, [3] so clearly, being deceased was a distinct possibility. It's also possible that only his father had passed away, and that his mother remarried and was living in a different family at the time of the 1834 census. Without church records to verify marriages and deaths, none of these possibilities can be confirmed or disproved.

Hi! I changed the project box to a sticker to clear a database error. If you think that this profile should be a project-managed/project-protected profile, please contact the Germany Project. You might want to delete the sticker, since the profile already has the Volga sticker.

Thanks!
