Biography

Married Maijken Gerrits. Children: Maria (Aug 26 1643, witnesses included Leendert Felten, Gabriel Gabrielssen, Tanneken Gabriels), Gabriel (Feb 28 1645), Geertruijt (March 22 1647, witnesses included Crijn Notebooms), Geraert (March 26 1649, witnesses included Jan van Oldenborch), Bartholomeus (Nov 19 1651), Bartholomeus (Oct 3 1655, witnesses included Anneken van Dapel) Anthonij also acted as witness to the baptism of his brother Gabriel’s daughter Maria in 1651.

Anthoni's baptism witnesses were witnesses Chrysostomus de Haze, Jaspar Geertsen, Lisken Jans, Janneken Jobs and Pieternelle Heeren.

Anthony worked as a carpenter.

The wife and four surviving children of Gabriel Anthonissen were involved in a case that may have been the division of his estate soon after he died. On January 27 1643, the whole family was involved in a suit again: Maijken Meeus with husbands Gabriel Anthonissen & Lenaert Fels; her children Gabriel, Tanneken, Maijken (with husband Adriaen van Daple) & Anthony. On January 14 and 21 1648, the whole family was involved in still another suit, including Maijken Meeus, her husbands and all 4 surviving children with some spouses, including Anthonij Gabrielssen (carpenter). On December 15 1650, Maijken Meeus seems to have resurrected a lawsuit that included the entire family as well as many other people. This may have been a case bringing up several old lawsuits at once. Anthonij Gabrielssen (carpenter) is mentioned. On March 14 1659 Maria and Gabriel Gabriels (most likely the children of Gabriel Gabriels) settled the estate of the recently deceased Gabriel Gabriels (bread baker). Also included are Anthonie Gabriels & Tanneken Adriaens. It seems to have been completed on March 5 1660.
