Biography

Mary was born in 1935 at Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, the daughter of Thomas Gadd and Mary Gadd formerly Cain. ^[1]

The 1939 Register, taken on 29 September 1939, has been described as a snapshot of the civilian population of England and Wales just after the outbreak of the Second World War. The Register recorded each person's address, date of birth and occupation.
At that time Mary was living with her parents and siblings at 17 Loftus Street, Stoke-On-Trent. Born 22 August 1935, she was aged 4. Her surname was later amended to her married name of Grundy. ^[2]

Mary Gadd married John W Grundy in 1961. ^[3]

This couple had two children.
