John Gadsby was born in about 1801 in Derby Derbyshire. In 1861 he was a widower and a builder, boarding in Alton. [1]
John married Emma Collis in 1861 in Cheadle, Staffordshire. It was his second marriage. [2]
John died 5 years later in 1866 at the age of 65 and was buried on 14 Apr 1866 at Alton, Staffordshire.[3]
