Biography

• Cliffie was just 3 years old when he and his siblings were found neglected on the streets of Dunedin in October 1882. They were sent to the Industrial School for 1 year.

• Clifford married Julia Prouse in 1915, but they had no surviving children. Julia died in 1960.

• In his will Benjamin divided his assets into 4 and bequeathed them to 4 different charities.
