Biography

Moses was born in Rowley in 1705[1]. His father moved the family to Mendon in 1723, and this is where Moses married and settled.

He married Sarah Nelson in 1731 in Mendon[2][3]. It is not known whether Sarah and Moses knew each other in Rowley, but both their families became established in Mendon a number of years before their eventual marriage.

Moses and Sarah had three children to our knowledge, as follows:

  1. Moses Jr. b. 1732; m. Mary Boynton 17 Feb. 1758
  2. Daniel b. 1 June 1734; m. Priscilla Jones 1 Jan. 1756, and
  3. Molly b. 18 Nov. 1737; m. Phinehas Davis 23 Aug. 1764.

Moses passed away in 1774 at the age of 69. He was buried in Vernon Grove Cemetery in Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA.[4]. His wife survived him by almost 17 years.
