Biography

Daniel Gage was born June 1, 1734, in Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts, the son of Moses Gage and Sarah Nelson[1].

He married Priscilla Jones in 1758[2], and they had 11 children, born in Mendon between 1756 and 1778[3][4]. The following are their children, as recorded in the Milford Vital Records:

  1. Daniel b. 16 Dec. 1756
  2. Asa b. 22 July 1758
  3. Mille b. 7 March 1761
  4. Lydia b. 15 Aug. 1763
  5. Nathaniel b. 10 Sept. 1765
  6. Elizabeth b. 4 May 1768
  7. Nabby b. 1 April 1770
  8. Nathan b. 1 April 1770
  9. Richard b. 23 Dec. 1772 (Family Bible says 23 Dec. 1771)
  10. Abraham b. 2 May 1775
  11. Moses b. 15 April 1778

At some time after the birth of their youngest child (1778), the family moved from Milford to Hubbardston. A document executed 8 April 1784 shows them to be of Hubbardston at that time.

Daniel died April 18, 1810, in Hubbardston, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA. He was buried in Parish Cemetery in Hubbardston, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA.[5]
