On 8 May 1982, Charles died, at 121 South 3rd Street, Livingston, Park County, Montana.
The cause of death was pneumonia; he may have had carcinoma of the lung, and he did have generalized arteriosclerosis.
He was a retired oil drilling foreman.
On 13 May, he was cremated, at Cremation Dahl Crematory, Bozemann, Montana.

Dorothy died on 21 August 1987, in the Livingston Convalescent Center, Livingston, Montana, after a long illness.
She died of pneumonitis, due to aspiration, due to diabetes.
She was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Livingston.

'LIVINGSTON—Dorothy J. Funk and her husband moved to Livingston in 1980 after living in Ventura, Calif., since the mid-1920s. She was a member of Eastern Star, Ventura PTA and Ventura Community Church and greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing.
'Mrs. Funk, 89, died early Friday morning in Livingston Convalescent Center after a long illness.
'Born in Perry, Okla., a daughter of William D. and Jessie Gage, she moved to Fullerton, Calif., after her parents' death to live with her aunt and she graduated from Fullerton High School. She worked as a dental hygienist. On May 26, 1921, she married Charles L. Funk in Fullerton; he died in 1982.
'Survivors include two daughters, ...; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
