Kimball Gage, born October 30, 1950, made his transition on May 8, 2008, at Sharp Cabrillo Skilled Nursing. He passed only 95 days after being diagnosed with an inoperable, cancerous brain tumor. Born and educated in Los Angeles, Kimball moved to San Diego in the mid-1970's and most recently worked as a loan officer with Countrywide Financial. He is survived by his mother, Esther Williams Bell, stepfather Edward Bell; sister Susan Beardslee and children Thomas, Ryan and Jessica; brother Benjamin Gage and children Erin and Austin. He also left behind a host of personal and business friends who he genuinely cared for and who loved him in return. With a great sense of humor and a warm, giving personality, he made all who knew him feel special. He wanted all to remember the good times shared --- but he will truly be missed! He was an avid golfer, poker player and a talented musician; playing at least six different instruments. As a result, he produced many CD's where he would write his own songs, compose the music and sing with his wonderful, deep voice. A Celebration of his life will be Saturday, June 14th, 1 p.m. at Pathfinder's of San Diego, 2980 Cedar Street, San Diego, 92102. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Path-finders in his honor. Published in U-T San Diego on June 12, 2008
