Biography
Mary Ellen Gaghyan was born on February 2, 1891, in Logansport, Indiana. She was the daughter of William Gaghyan and Elizabeth Cloonan. She was a telephone operator most of her adult life.
When she was 48 years old, she married Paul Garrison, widower, on June 6, 1939 in Logansport, Indiana (see image of marriage announcement).
Mary Ellen died on July 2, 1950, at the age of 59, and was buried in her hometown.

Mrs. Paul Garrison
Galveston, July 3 -- (Tribune Area Special) -- Mrs. Mary Garrison, 59, wife of Paul Garrison, died at her home here about 10 o'clock Sunday morning. While she had been frail health for some time the end came with shocking suddenness.
Mrs. Garrison was born February 2, 1891 in Logansport, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Gaghyan. Surviving with the husband is one brother, Earl C. Gaghyan of Marion.
The body was taken to the Kroeger funeral home in Logansport to remain until time for the services which will be held at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning in St. Vincent's Catholic church, that city, with burial in the church cemetery.
