Marie Angelique was the daughter of Michel Gagnier and Marianne Carrier. She was born 22 Sep 1810 and baptized the next day in St-Henri-de-Lauzon. Her godparents were Ambroise Bouffard and Marie Angelique Blais, no signatures. [1]
Pierre Gagné dit Bélavance, adult son of Michel Gagné dit Bélavance and Marie Samson, and Angelique Gagné dite Belavance, minor daughter of Michel Gagné dit Belavance and the late Marie Anne Lebrun dite Carrier, were married 27 Sep 1831 in the parish of Saint-Anselme, Bas-Canada. [2][3]
Dispensation was obtained for a 3rd degree of consanguinity. They were related along multiple lines. They were most closely related as second cousins through Pierre Gagné and his wife Geneviève Létourneau.
They had several children all born in St-Anselme.
Marie Angélique died the 21 April 1842 at age 32 in St-Anselme and was buried in it's cemetery the 23rd. Sépulture the same day. [4]
