Biography

Marguerite Gagne was born on August 23rd , 1745 in Saint-François-du-Lac, Nicolet-Yamaska, Quebec, Canada.

Her parents were Rene Gagne and Gabrielle St. Laurent. Over the course of her life she had two husbands.

She married Pierre Theroux on February 19th, 1757. She married Antoine François Bibeau on October 4th, 1779.

Together they had 4 children:

  1. Jean-Baptiste Bibeau
  2. Francois Antoine Bibeau
  3. Eustache Bibeau
  4. Marie Anne Bibeau

Marguerite also had the following children

  1. Joseph Bibeau
  2. Remy Bibeau

She died on November 4th, 1820 in Quebec, Canada.



Margueritte, fille de René Ganier et Gabrielle St Laurent, est née le 23 août 1745 et a été baptisée le même jour à Saint-François-du-Lac[1].

Marguerite Gagnière, widow of Antoine Bibeault, died on 4 Nov 1820 and was buried on the 5th in St-François-du-Lac, the record giving her 76 years of age.[2]
