Jean Baptiste Gagnon was born in Canada. He married Marie Léa St. Amour in Fall River, Massachusetts on 12 October 1925. He died on 21 February 1979 in Middletown, Connecticut.
Among their children were Aline Marie (Gagnon) Lavallee, Roger Lavallee (who married Yvette and lived in Virginia in the 1990s), and Estelle (Gagnon) Dion (who married and moved to Connecticut).[1]
