Biography
Sophie was born in Canada about 1864, the daughter of Noel Gagnon and Louise Voyer. In 1886, she married Nazaire Couinard in Essex County, Massachusetts. Sophie was a mill-weaver operator. In 1887, the couple had a daughter named Victoria that passed away the same year from marasmus. In 1888, they had a son named Camille Omer. At the age of 24, she passed away in 1888 from pyemia a form of child bed fever. A month after his mother's death, Camille passed away from cholera.
