Research note / Note de recherche

Marguerite Gagnon, baptised on the May 10, 1598, the eldest child of Pierre, was said to be the daughter of Pierre Gagnon and Françoise Roger (see photo source image). There is a possibility that Pierre was married twice.[4] First to Françoise, then afterwards to Renée Madeleine Roger.[4] The mother of all the other children was Renée Madeleine Roger.[5][6]

Gagnon-866 and Gagnon-2252 do not represent the same person because: Need to go from Pierre Gagnon (Gagnon-2252) to Pierre Gagnon (Gagnon-866), not Pierre Gagnon (Gagnon-866) to Pierre Gagnon (Gagnon-2252)

Claude, are you saying you disagree in following the guideline in Biographies in the Style and Standards guide? Where it says “it should always be easy to read and understand — clear, concise and well organized”. http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Biographies

This individual needs a cleanup, there are too may Biographies in the Contents, i.e. 1-Biographie, 2-Biography, 6-Biographie/Biography. The Style and Standards should be observed in WikiTree [1]

I dont believe that the name Noelle (Gageut) Fournier properly belongs on this profile. There is no record of such a person either in Gagnon Family List, or in www.nosorigines.qc.ca. The only female members of that family were Marguerite and Mathurine. And even Marguerite was born of a different mother than Renee Roger, named Francoise Roger. (see photo source image at top) This is one detail where even genealogy of canada is wrong about.

I am not sure as of yet whether Francoise Roger and Rene Madeleine Roger were sisters or cousins, but when I find out for sure, I will say so.
