Joseph Gaime[1][2] was born in January 1853,[2][3] in France,[2][3] to Pierre Gaime and Jeanne Chenevrier.[1]

On 7 June 1875, he married Emma Lecompte, in Notre-Dame, Montréal, Québec, Canada. [1] They reportedly had fourteen children, including:[3]

In 1900, Joseph and Emma were living at 91 East 116th Street, Manhattan, New York County, New York, with their four living children. Joseph was a range polisher. He had filed papers for naturalization. [3]

On 20 March 1909, he died, at 908 Faile Street, New York City, New York, of chronic endocarditis, emphysema, chronic nephritis, apoplexy, and uraemia. He was a brass polisher. On 23 March 1909, he was buried, in Calvary Cemetery (perhaps Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, Queens County, New York). [2]
