George Gain was born about 1835 in Portobello, Midlothian, Scotland, United Kingdom. He was the only surviving son of George Gain and Catherine Wilson.
The family migrated to Victoria (Australia).
George married Johanna O'Donohue on 29th January 1857 in Avoca, Victoria. [1]
Aged about 38 years, he passed away on 18th May 1873 in Albury, New South Wales. [2]
