David was born in 1896. He is the son of George Galashan and Mary Walker.

In 1915 lived at 7 Charlotte Street, Belfast. WW1 David was a driver with the Royal Engineers. Service number 64255. He was injured during WW1. He died age 23 in service in India due to pneumonia and pericarditis. Buried in a war grave in Deolali Government Cemetery, India. Plot CE, Row M, Grave 16.
