She was born in Scotland and was the daughter of Cornelius "Neill" Galbrath or Culbreth.
Mary Galbraith married about 1743 to Duncan McLerran or McLearran or McLaurin [1] (1725-1757).
She passed away about 1825 in Cumberland County, North Carolina, USA.
Research Notes
A source is needed to confirm whether her mother was Mary McNeil or Martha Autry ?
This person is not mentioned in the "500 Years of Wittel" that mentions Neil and Martha and their children. Neil and Martha married 1768. There is no mention of Neil marrying before Martha. [2]
If this person married Duncan in 1743, as stated in the biography, she can't be a child of Neil Galbraith, b 1740, or Martha Autrey, b 1753.
Following is probably about husband Duncan ??
There is a date conflict as he was supposed to have died in 1757, yet a Will was made in 1795 ? Perhaps the Will was made by his son of the same name ?
1795 Will of Duncan McLerran mentioned wife Mary and children: Daniel, Duncan, Archibald, Neven, Elizabeth and Christian. [3]
