Biography
When Richard Gale was born on 6 June 1792 in Shipton Gorge, Dorset, his father, Isaac, was 25 and his mother, Mary, was 25. He married Martha Hodgson on 27 June 1824 in Hull, Yorkshire. They had five children in 16 years. He died on 21 April 1866 in Bridport, Dorset, at the age of 73.
