James Moore Galey was born on 16 May 1854 in Indiana.[1][2][3] He was the son of Samuel S. Galey and Sarah Vannice.[1]
In 1900, James M. Galey lived in Englewood, Montgomery, Indiana with his wife, Belle C. Galey and two children. James is a farmer.[3]
James M. Galey died on 16 Feb 1936 in Union Township, Montgomery County, Indiana, He was to be buried at the Masonic Cemetery. At the time of his death, he was married to Mrs. Belle Galey, who was the informant on his Death Certificate.[1] and is buried at the Oak Hill Grant Avenue Cemetery, Crawfordsville, Montgomery, Indiana.[2]

James and Belle have been married for 22 years, and Belle has had two children, both of whom are living. James's and Be;;es's parents were all born in Kentucky.
