Biography
Chrissie was born about 1850 and named after her grandmother. She is the daughter of David Gallagher and Elizabeth Davidson.
Chrissie was of Full Age when she married William Stewart, a Merchant of Ramelton in the Rathmullen Presbyterian Church. Mary Malseed and Sarah A Davidson Davidson-12338 were their witnesses. [1]
Chrissie and William had 3 children, Margaret, David and William born in Donegal before they moved to Scotland about 1884/1885. They settled in Bo'ness, Linlithgowshire where William worked as a Miller. Also living with them was William's cousin from Ireland, Andrew Malseed.
By 1901 William Stewart was employed as a Pithead Man and they have 8 children, Margt M 22,David G 19, William Stewart 18, Eliza D 14, Mary 13, Joseph G 9, Andrew M 9 and James G Stewart 5.
Chrissie Stewart died in 1928 aged 78. [2]
