Biography

Lucetta Ray Gallagher was the daughter of James T Gallagher and Sarah Wiltse. She was born April 17, 1890, in Newboro, Ontario where her father was a merchant.^[1][2]

In 1919 Lucetta was a school teacher and living in Brockville. On November 5, 1919, Lucetta Rea married Stanley Lawrence Heath, a merchant in the Village of Portland. They were married in Portland with Miss Bella Wiltse of Athens and Dr R G King of Newboro as witnesses.^[3][4]

The couple would take up residence in Bastard Township where Stanley was a storekeeper. They owned a 6 room wood house.^[5] Their son Douglas, born in 1923, would die in WWII.^[6]

Lucetta would die in 1951 and be buried at Portland United Church Cemetery.^[7]
