Prospere Gallant is a descendant of an Acadian

Prospere was born about 1777. He was the son of Cyprien Haché-Gallant and Marie Bernard.

He married twice.

He married firstly to Angelique Arsenault, daughter of Fidele Arsenault and -unknown- Arsenault, about 1800.

1) Fidele, born about 1800. Married Marie Poirier dite Perry about 1824, died 29 May 1876 in Tignish

2) Marie, born about 1801, married Simon Pineau about 1821

3) Sylvain, born about 1802, married Marie Gaudet about 1826, died 15 Feb 1871 in l'Etang-des-Clous-Ouest

4) Theotiste, born about 1805, married Pierre Arsenault about 1822, died before 19 Oct 1858

5) Judith, born about 1806, married Chrysostome dit Thomas Poirier dit Perry about 1829
