Biography

Ambroise was born in 1906. ^[1] He is the son of Placide Gallant and Christine Léger.

In 1917 at age 21 he crossed the US border to visit his grandmother Marie (Arseneau) Léger in Lynn, Mass.^[2][3] The border crossing documents show that he was 5 ft 9 in tall, had a dark complexion, brown hair and brown eyes, and had 40$ in his pocket.

He married Élisabeth Gallant, daughter of Albert Gallant and Marie Gallant, in 1936.^[4]

He passed away on 31 May 1963 in Moncton Hospital from cancer at age 57. He was listed as a painter on his death certificate.^{[5] [6]}
