Joann, today you created two more duplicates of Acadians. This is in addition to the many that have been found and proposed for merge already. If you haven't been advised on how to find existing profiles, I am providing the following instructions.
Please do not create any more Acadian profiles before 1800 without contacting one of the project leaders. We simply can't keep up with the dozens of duplicates you've created so far. WikiTree is a one profile per person site, not like others. Having more than one profile creates accuracy problem and uses precious computer time and volunteer time to fix these problems. It is imperative that you search for an existing profile and if you don't find one, please contact one of the project leaders to have us search. We would rather help you search and connect than fix the duplicate merge. Contact me or Gisele Cormier at any time for help. We monitor requests and usually can respond within a day.
We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.
Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.
Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.
