Marie Anita “Nita” Gallant b. 17 Sep 1933, OK d. 12 Dec 2012, CA., m. 2 Aug 1949, Samuel Edward “Eddie” Satterwhite b. 5 Jan 1922. Marie's sister, Lizzie Bell Gallant m. James T. Satterwhite b. 3 Sep 1927, now divorced and Lizzie m. Jack Gifford.

Obit: September 17, 1933 - December 12, 2012 Marie Anita Satterwhite passed from this world on December 12, 2012 at Bethany Home in Ripon, CA. She was born on September 17, 1933 in Oklahoma to the parents of Sam Gallant and Goldie Gallant, who lived in Salida, CA. She married Edward S. Satterwhite on August 2, 1949 in Modesto, CA, who preceded her in death on January 31, 1997. Also, her parents, Samuel Gallant and Goldie Gallant of Salida, CA, Maveline Duca, and Cynthia Vance, her youngest daughter; and grandson, Jimmy Chadwick. Marie is survived by her sister Lizzie Gifford, and brother James Gallant; her children, Martha C., Becky K., David S., and Priscilla D., all of Modesto, CA; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She worked at Tri-Valley growers until she retired. She was a member of Salida church. She loved to sing and listen to Gospel quartets. Marie ministered for years at Evergreen Convalescent Hospital, by reading the word, singing and praying for those residents. She was a pray warrior. If you needed anything she would pray for you. Spending time with God and her family was her life. Church, Sewing, and going out to eat Mexican food or Chinese food were some of her favorite things. We are all going to miss you mom, until we meet again. Love You. Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday the 29th of December at Victory Life Center, 2118 Woodland Ave., Modesto, CA.
