Biography

James Emmett Gallen was born on 10 May 1862 in Mahoning, Ohio, United States, son of Thomas Gallen Sr. (~1837 - 1905) and Louisa (Pennell) Gallen (1844 - 1922).

James died on 16 Jul 1933 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio aged 71. James E. Gallen was the son of Thomas Gallen Sr. and Louisa Pennell. His maternal grandparents were John J. Pennell and Elizabeth Hood. His great grandparents were Simon Hood and Louisa Bricker.

James' wife was Lyda Martin. Lyda was born on 1 June 1879. She died on 14 December 1911 in Cleveland. Lyda was the daughter of Edward Edwin Martin and Cornelia Emeline Martin.
