I started researching my family years ago but recently got back to it in the last few months. I’m now more cautious if adding people just cause someone else’s tree has it.
I’m now going through my tree on Ancestry and fixing doubles, unrelated people etc. and will slowly type them over here.

Books I’ve put into Wikitree- I’ve been trying to break through some brick walls for years. I’ve found a lot of profiles in the books that weren’t on wikitree and they needed to be made or some that were here that needed some help. I thought that in making and finishing them that maybe I might find a hint or two along the way to get past the walls. I figured the best way to do this was to put the books onto wikitree outside of a paywall. I try to make sure every person in the book who has a profile has a profile here. Surprisingly the books have been pretty accurate. If there’s sources for others I try and do those as well.
If you come across one that needs to be made please let me know unless the profile has too many immediate family still living. Then I won’t out if respect to them. Below is the list of books I’ve put up here.

Hi Alice, I hope 2024 has been a good year for you :) Here is the link to the newest G2G question: US Civil War December 2024/January 2025 Newletter. You'll find several links there, especially the link to our Connect-a-Thon Connect-a-Soldier tie-in for January 2025. Also, just for fun, you might like to share a family tradition or favorite recipe with the group :)
Hi Alice, the research in the profile of Deborah (Champion) Johnson (1697-1778) does not support her (first) marriage to Samuel Mather (1683-1725), as I've outlined in the Research Notes section of her profile. If you have additional research supporting their marriage, I would love to hear it. Otherwise, I will probably have to revert your recent changes.
I tried to answer through email, duh of course it wouldn’t lol this is what I put I hope it all goes through. This pictures didn’t turn it all says the same thing. Hopefully the links would bring you there?
So far I’ve found different books that say the same thing. I do however question the last child Mehitable because she would have been born after marrying Ebenezer.
The paragraph that you posted that came from here https://archive.org/details/championgenealog01trow/page/n91/mode/2up which is also on the Find a Grave pic talks about “ no record of the birth of any daughter of the Champions who would correspond to her has been found” there are birth and wedding sources that have been found.
What I’ve found

Sorry a reg link to the page wouldn’t go through, it skipped to the very first page of the book. Then you’d have to scroll through it. https://archive.org/details/elyancestrylinea00beac/page/88/mode/2up?q=Samuel There’s the link, should be page 88( going by the number of the bottom with the left and right arrows) I haven’t looked to much further into this book yet, not sure if there’s more.
I did peak briefly at the son Richards profile that’s there and all the kids above are there with profiles but I haven’t looked at them either.
There’s also the information on Samuels page itself, that came from here https://archive.org/details/lineageofrevrich1890math/page/106/mode/2up
While I wouldn’t agree with my 15 year old daughter marrying someone being that young marry someone that much older back then they did do that. Wether it a matter of love, money, power or even property it did happen back then.
I haven’t found any other Samuel Mather in the area at that time but then I also haven’t been going through the Mather books and lines to be familiar with them. Right now I’m going through the Brockway book and adding what’s in there.
That’s three separate separate things plus the sources from Family Search.
While I can’t say that 100% that she did marry Samuel and Ebenezer I don’t thank you can say for 100% that she didn’t.
I say you leave it and present evidence from both sides and people can come to their own conclusions

Just putting profile in for easy access https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Champion-228
There are more inconsistencies and missing pieces of information than just the age difference. Yes, I do have one "White" ancestor who married at 14, but it wasn't that common. We do have secondary sources saying that Samuel Mather married Deborah "Champion," but the marriage record itself has no last name for her, so what did they base it on? We do have a 1717 marriage record for "Deborah Champion" to Ebenezer Johnson, and we're pretty sure she was the daughter of Thomas Champion, but if this was her second marriage, wouldn't the record have said "Deborah Mather"? But then, it couldn't be a second marriage anyway since Samuel Mather was still living in 1717, and divorce was uncommon. That leaves the possibility that there could have been 2 Deborah Champions. If we can't resolve these issues, perhaps we might consider creating another Deborah Champion profile for Samuel Mather. In the mean time, we can certainly take some time to try to find more answers first if you're up for it.
I doubt that a second profile would work because someone would put in a merge for it.
I’ve been looking for the book that was mentioned (Hall Genealogy) thinking that maybe there’d may be something in there. I’m going to look for a book of Mather as well. With that many books showing the same names there’s definitely more to the story.

I'm sorry I haven't had the time to respond to you before, been a very hectic year for me.
I had it correct the first time. You are showing the wrong birth and death information for this Elizabeth Harvey. Here is her Find-a-Grave page so you can see the correct dates and spouse and children. I had it correct the first time, this Elizabeth Harvey was married to Moses Bessey as you will see when you go to the Find-a-Grave page of Elizabeth Harvey. The Find-a-Grave ID is 30266308. The Elizabeth Harvey I have was born June 1771 and died 25 Dec 1833. Please correct your errors and create a new profile for the one you thought it was. I am of the Bessey family line so I have done much research into the family.
First of all which Bessie are you talking about? It would help a lot if you were to link the page with the profile that you’re talking about. There are at least 20 pages of Elizabeth Harvey. This one? https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hayden-3238
Your saying that she married Mosses but yet the profile says that it Ephram. That’s who’s attached. That’s who it says is her husband is. With your age dates she would be marrying someone that’s 41 years older than her Ephram was born in 1730. Your saying he married someone who was born in 1771?
He son Moses was born in 1760. He also married an Elizabeth Harvey. (At least that’s what you had.) I believe you may have put the find a grave on the wrong Elizabeth Harvey. You have both Ephram and Mosses marrying an Elizabeth Harvey. Ephram’s Elizabeth you put a note where it states that you couldn’t change the last name.( I left it because I wasn’t sure how to change it either.)
Also a citation from Family Tree or another book is more reliable than info from find a grave. Have I used find a grave? Yes I have but only when there’s nothing else there.
I also looked at the Family Search profile that you linked on her profile. https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/L8QV-GCL The only thing that’s there is a land assessment. That doesn’t give her age. There’s nothing there for her age. It also shows that she married Ephram with the same dates that I put on her wikitree profile. Not Mosses, mosses is her son.
I also have them in my family it doesn’t make any difference if the citations aren’t there. I really believe you got the two Elizabeth’s mixed up. I believe the find a grave and the Elizabeth that was born in 1771 was Moses wife. (I didn’t touch her profile. No one has since 2018.)
