The daughter of George Gallion and Jincy DeFoe, Olive Gallion was born in Iron Mountain Hill, Tennessee[citation needed] in 1897, residing there with her family.[1] In 1910, Ollie and her family lived in Gilkerson Township, Alabama, in Craighead County.[2]
Ollie
married Joseph Richard Daniel, putting up a $100 marriage bond on October 16, 1915 with the marriage ceremony performed on October 17, 1915.[3] They made their home in 1920 in Gilkerson Township.[4] In 1924, Ollie gave birth to a baby boy, who they named Norman Richard; he died the same day. In 1927, Ollie gave birth to another baby boy, who they named Cecil Oliver; he died the next day. In all, Ollie and Archie had five children, including the two boys who died as infants. In 1930, they lived in Lunsford, Alabama, farming on their own account.[5] In 1940, Ollie and her family lived in Hector Township, Arkansas,[6] residing by 1950 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, farming.[7]
Ollie and Joe later moved to Berrien County, Michigan, where their daughter, Vernie, lived. Widowed in 1959,[8] Ollie Daniel passed away at the age of 83,[9] residing last in Niles, Michigan, and is buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan, Michigan[10]
