Rosalia Gallo is born 2 October 1812 and baptized the next day, the daughter of Maestro Emmanuele Gallo and Vincenza Savona. Her godparents are Domenico and Francesca Morello, a married couple.[1]
Rosalia marries Giuseppe Piazza, son of the late Leoluca Piazza and the living Maria lo Piano, on 11 February 1838. Her father has died by this time. This record calls her mother, Vincenza, by the surname "Sanzone."[2]
Giuseppe and Rosalia have at least four children: Leoluca (1840), Emmanuele (1844), Bernardo (c. 1846), and Vincenza (1851).
Emmanuele is born on 21 October 1844 in his parents' home on via San Nicolo' in Corleone. Giuseppe is a farmer (agricola).[4] Emmanuele is named after his maternal grandfather.
Bernardo is born around 1846, based on his reported age at death.
Vincenza is born on 29 October 1851.[5] She is named after her maternal grandmother.
Giuseppe dies at the reported age of 50 on 30 April 1861 in Corleone. He is survived by his wife, and is predeceased by his parents.[6]
Bernardo, of the tenth military battalion, dies at the age of 22 (b. 1846) in a hospital in Pisa, Tuscany, on 3 March 1869. He is survived by his mother.[7]
Vincenza marries Antonino Saporito on 24 January 1875. Her parents have both died by this time.[8]
Emmanuele marries Lucia Governali around November 1881 in Corleone.[9]
