She married Rev Edward Holiday (b.1861 d. 11th November 1932) of Toodyay. He arrived 21st November 1883 per "Franklin" from Eastern Colonies. He was the Wesleyan minister in York in 1883 and worked in the area until the late 1880's. In March 1894 he returned to W.A. from the eastern colonies where he had gone for treatment for his eyes and took up an appointment in Newcastle (this was Toodyay's name from 1861 to 1911). He retired in 1895 and he was presented with a purse of sovereigns at a function in the Temperance Hall. He participated in Municipal affairs and became Mayor of Newcastle for a term 1897 - 1898. He was Clerk of Courts 1905. His home called "Scion Kop" was on the hillside overlooking "The Cascades" where the Anglican clergyman lived. The home still exists today. He became first Master of the Freemason's fraternity in Toodyay in November 1899. He is buried at Toodyay cemetery with three of his children Anglican Section D Row 0 Plot I. She went to live with her daughter Olive in Geraldton and died there in 1954[1]
