Thomas Galloway was born in North Gower in 1865. He was the son of Robert Galloway and Margaret Scharf. He married Alexina Deavey in Cumberland, Russell County in 1891. They farmed in Cumberland Township.
Thomas Galloway, life-long resident of Cumberland, died at his home there on Saturday in his 77th year. He was born in Cumberland, the son of the late Robert Galloway, and his wife, the former Margaret Scharf.
Surviving, in addition to his widow, the former Alexina Deavey, are three sons, Albert, Samuel and Leslie, all at home; four daughters, Mrs. George Brown, Mrs. James Deavey, Mrs. W. C. Bertram and Mrs. Walter Galloway, all of Cumberland; three brothers, James, William and Robert, of Cumberland, and five sisters, Sarah, of Ottawa; Margaret, of Billings' Bridge; Mrs. C. Curran, also of Billings' Bridge; Mrs. Hugh Payton, of Osgoode, and Mrs. Oliver Scharf, of Cumberland. The .funeral was held from his late residence today. Interment was in Cumberland. [1]
