No record of the birth of Richard Galloway has been found. He is mentioned in the will of his father as his only son.
Richard's marriage to Sophia Richardson is recorded in the minutes of the West River Quaker Meeting:
Richard Galloway, Jr. married 29th day of 7th month usually called September 1715 to Sophia Richardson, daughter of William and Margaret, all of Anne Arundel County.
Richard signed his will on 22 NOV 1740. The will mentions his wife, Sophia and his daughter Elizabeth Sprigg, who was left a very sizeable estate of property. He also mentions a grandson named Richard Sprigg, and left money for the use of the Quakers.
Richard was buried at Cedar Park Estate Cemetery, Galesville, Ann Arundell County, Province of Maryland.
The modern spelling of Ann Arundell County adds an 'e' to her first name of "Ann" and removes the second 'L' from the family name of "Arundell": Anne Arundel County.
