Biography
Ann was born in 1792 to Thomas Galphin.
Thomas Galphin moved the family to his Steel Creek plantation in South Carolina in 1799.[1]
The Republican; and Savannah Evening Ledger reported, "Married on Tuesday evening, 4th Instant, by the rev. J. R. Thompson at the house of John Milledge, esq. Mr. Barna McKinne merchant of Savannah , to Miss Ann Galphin, daughter of Thomas Galphin, esq. of South Carolina."[2] John Milledge was the spouse of Ann's aunt, Martha Galphin Milledge.
Thomas Galphin of Barnwell District, South Carolina wrote his Last Will and Testament on the 15th day of May 1812 noting Ann as one of his children.[3]
According to Find A Grave Ann Galphin McKinne died on the 4th of April 1876 in Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia.[4]
