OBITUARY: F. W. "Tuck" Galphin
OBITUARY: Norman Park- F. W. "Tuck" Galphin, 65, of Norman Park diedWednesday, May 8, 2002, at his residence.
OBITUARY: Services will be held at 3 PM on Friday, May 10, at Norman Park First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Burial will be in the Deep Bottom Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Buddy Horne, Steve Gray, Calvin Van Vlake,Clarence Lowe, Doyle Carlton, James Morgan and Bob Meister. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Norman Park First Baptist Church.
OBITUARY: Born Oct. 14, 1936, in Fernandina Beach, Fla.,Mr. Galphin was the son of Cleo Etta Galphin and the late William N. Galphin, Sr. He founded Carriage Cleaners in 1960, and was the founder and owner of Diamond G. Farms. He was a member of Norman Park First Baptist Church where he was an active deacon and served as chairman of the church finance committee for 17 years. Mr. Galphin attended South Georgia College and Georgia State. He served in the Marine Corps and was a member of the Rotary Club.
OBITUARY: Survivors include his wife, Shirley Anne Galphin; his mother,Cleo Etta Galphin of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; Sons, Mark Galphin and wife,Mandy of Moultrie and Michael Galphin of Tifton; a daughter, Angie Avery of Norman Park; a brother, Nip Galphin and wife Joy of Fernandina Beach,Fla.; three grandchildren, Robby Avery, Abbie Galphin and Katie Galphin; and several nieces and nephews.
visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. BakerFuneral Home is in charge of arrangement
