Gertrude was born in 1752. She is the daughter of John Galwey and Jane O'Bryen.
1. ‘Married at Danville, the seat of Richd Galwey esq, James Blackney of Ballycormack esq to the truly amiable and accomplished Miss Gertrude Galwey, dau of John Galwey of Westcourt esq’ (Ref 2).
2. She had, in addition to the above three issue (Walter, Jane, John and James), the following three for whom adequate details are not available:
Margaret, m. Michael Sweetman of Longtown, Co Kildare.
Catherine, d. 1816 aet 32, bur at Dunleckney.
Mary, m. Richard Kellett, Barrister-at-law, eld son of Sir Richard Kellett [Kellett-773], 1st Bart, by Jane, his wife [Galwey-57], dau of John Galwey of Lota and Westcourt [Galwey-12] but was dsp.
