Biography
Provvidenza Gambauta (Gammauta), the daughter of Francesco Gambauta and Caterina Bartolotta, is born and baptized on 18 December 1776 in Corleone. Her godparents are Giacomo Collura and his wife, Emmanuela.[1]
Provvidenza marries Vincenzo Liggio (or "Leggio"), son of the late Nicolo’ Liggio and Francesca Birtone, on 25 September 1796. This record calls her mother by the surname "Arcotta."[2] The same mistake is made in Providenza's aunt, Maria's marriage in 1762.
Vincenzo and Provvidenza have at least one child, Carmela (c. 1801).
Carmela marries Vincenzo Pecoraro on 30 September 1821.[3]
