Biography

Rosa Gammanta, the daughter of Filippo Gammanta and Marianna Marino, is born on 31 July 1848 in her parents' home on via San Leoluca in Corleone.^[1]

She marries Arcangelo Sciortino, son of Leoluca Sciortino and Lucia Paternostro, on 12 February 1871.^[2]

Arcangelo and Rosa have at least one child, Lucia (c. 1872), named after her paternal grandmother.

Lucia marries Vincenzo Streva on 29 February 1892.^[3]

Death

Rosa, a peasant residing at via San Michele Arcangelo #104, dies at the reported age of 33 on 30 May 1881 in Corleone. She is survived by her husband, Arcangelo, and her parents.^[4]
