George Merle Gammon was born in 1882, the son of George Quimby Gammon and Betsey Gibbs (Bigelow) Gammon of Livermore and Jay, Maine.[1] He was living with his parents at Jay, Maine, in 1900, with his birth date shown as January 1882.[2] His World War I draft registration gives his birth date as 27 Jan 1882.[3]
Marriage
George M. Gammon, farmer, 29, of Jay, Maine, married Virabel Morrison, teacher, 27, of Livermore Falls, Maine, at Livermore Falls on 4 Jun 1911.[4]
Death
In 1940, G. Merle Gammon, 58, superintendent of the water district, was living with his wife Virabel at Livermore Falls, Maine.[5] His gravestone at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Livermore Falls is inscribed with the dates 1882-1982.[6]
