Biography
Samuel Gamwell, son of Samuel Gamwell and his second wife, the former Ann Hambleton, was born 15 January 1738/9 in Westborough, Massachusetts.[1][2]
"Samuel Gamwell Jun." of Westborough and Jane Crooks of Hopkinton (Massachusetts) entered their intention of marriage in Westborough on 10 December 1763.[3] Samuel Gamwell and Jane Crooks were married on 10 January 1764 in Westborough.[4]
Research Notes
The birth record (or at least some transcripts of it) appears to show the month of birth as June, rather than January. However, the double-date year shown on the birth record does not make sense for dates outside of the first three months of the year. Smith-62120 23:02, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
