Biography

Sarah was born in 1850, in Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight, England. She was the second of eight children born to Thomas Ganaway, a farm laborer, and Ann Ash.

Sarah married Mark Hunt, a farm carter, in Hampshire, England in 1870. They had four children: George (born abt. 1871), Louisa Alice (born 1876), Frederick William (born abt. 1879), and Rose Kate (born abt. 1882).

Sarah died at the age of 75 in 1925, and was buried 14 Dec 1925 in Hampshire, England. She was preceded in death by her husband, as well as sisters Elizabeth and Louisa, and brother George.
