The first Minutes of Jeff Davis Lodge U.D., show that the Masonic Hall was at Morrison's Store in Jasper County, TX, and the first meeting was held on July 11, 1863. G.B. Gandy of Tyler was elected an officer.
Green's wife applied on July 13, 1895, for a pension for his Indian Wars service in Texas.
Green is buried in Denman Cemetery, Buna, Jasper County, TX.
