Brinkley enlisted in the CSA on August 11, 1863, in the 29th GA Infantry. His service record shows that he died of "diarrhoea." His estate was administered by his brother, Book A. Gandy.
Buried in the family cemetery in Thomas County, GA, off Patton and Coolidge Roads.
Research Notes
1860 census reference is for daughter, Mary. Entire family, shy of Barry, is listed. Still looking for Brinkley’s reference (his name is fairly illegible).
