Biography

Brittain Gandy, Jr. registered for a land grant in Georgia. Land lot 32, Section 2, in Habersham County was transferred to the "Orphs of Britain Gandays," noted to be from Haws District, Baldwin County, on April 7, 1834. The names of the "Orphs" were not given, but the following Gandys appear in the 1850 Census of Baldwin County: James B., Leonard, Martin, Peter, and Andrew.
