Walter was in the military and died on 26 August 1918 in France and Flanders. His service number was 13983.[19][20]
Research Notes
Other trees have his name as Walter Christopher Godfrey Gannaway but no records have been found to prove this.
Bessie had a daughter Ruby Christine Lacey Gannaway on 25 Aug 1922 (She cannot be Walter's as he had already passed away in the war) [21].
