Mary Ann Gannon, daughter of Catherine and William, was born at Yass in 1871. In 1896 she married Peter O' Malley at Grenfell in centralwestern NSW. Peter was born at Young in southwestern NSW in 1875, the son of Peter O'Malley and Catherine Dwyer, married at Young in 1870.

Mary's and Peter's seven children, William, Winifred, Catherine, Charles, Francis, Peter (known as Vincent) and Thomas, were born between 1897 and 1912 at Young in southwestern NSW; Grenfell; and Broken Hill in western NSW.

Mary died at Grenfell in 1942 and Peter died at Grenfell in 1946. Of Mary's and Peter's children, William is buried at Dapto, near Wollongong; Winifred is buried in Sydney; Catherine, Charles, Francis and Vincent are buried at Grenfell; and Thomas is buried in Brisbane, Queensland.[5]

OBITUARY.

MRS. PETER O'MALLEY.

The death occurred on Saturday of Mrs. Peter O'Malley, at the age of 71.

The funeral on Saturday left St. Joseph's Church after service conducted by Rev. Father McDade, who also officiated at the cemetery.
